  • Invitation to women friends of River of Life

                                                                      

      This is not a sermon; however, I am using this site so I can link this invitation to Facebook.

    Rosemary happily hosts a “Lady’ Night Out”:  A trip to Goodwill, A Potblessing ( please bring cold sides,desserts, sandwiches), a “fashion show” - - Prizes…..November 29 11:  Tuesday: 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM

    Ages: 12 to 120 – You may take a friend (or friends) if you wish

    5:30: Goodwill:  Meet at church if you need a ride  to Goodwill ….or, you can start out the night  there on your own.  Goodwill ,4696 Lake Michigan Drive Northwest,Grand Rapids, MI ,(616) 791-1418 () ‎ · goodwillgr.org

    AtGoodwill: Buy either an outfit and/or accessories to present in a fashion show .There will only be women at church  soyou could even buy pajamas if you want -- or , jewelry, shoes, scarf, dress,pants outfit, sweater…whatever…..

    Iencourage you to take from your home, e.g., hair curling instruments, accessories,hats, makeup, wigs, and/or jewelry you think would be helpful to yourself or othersin our fun runway time!!

     Atchurch:  6:45 PM to around 7:30 PM   Put onyour outfit.  Perhaps  makeup. A wig? A new hairstyle? There are  some  of us willing to help.

    Around 7:30 PM:  Potblessing:  While we  eat, ladies will get up to model their newlook and/or outfit and/or accessories. (Those of you for whom  the Goodwill portion is too much, just show upat around 7 or so.)

    Thejudges (3 chosen just before the fashion parade starts—but, your responses willaid them in their choices) will decide the winners in various categories andthe winners will be given a prize.  E.g.,“Best presentation on the  ‘runway’”; “Mostoriginal”,  “Best Bargain” (state whatyou think the price would have been and what you paid for it); “Most beautifuloutfit”,  “Outfit that gave the medicineof laughter the most” (Yes, if you want to go for “spoof” and humor, go for it), etc.  

    Theseentries can be beautiful and truly fit for an evening dinner at a top notchrestaurant or a spoof, i.e., an outfit meant for a very old lady even thoughyou are young….

    Afterthe fashion show: Let’s all pitch in to help clean up!
