:  God: Our refuge, shelter, and helper:  This topic was thetheme of the Feast of Tabernacles season. We are still on this topic.  The time to share Word and/or music/skits onthis topic is 11/ 26. Starting on 11/27 the theme will be the birth of our Lordand all things we connect with the Christmas message (until 1/;14 at which timewe begin studyin 1 Samuel and 1 Timothy).

    Under His Wings

Under His wings I am safely abiding
Though the night deepens and tempests are wild
Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me
He has redeemed me, and I am His child

Under His wings, under His wings,      Who from His love can sever?

Under His wings my soul shall abide,        Safely abide forever.

Under His wings--what a refuge in sorrow!  How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!

Often when earth has no balm for my healing,  There I find comfort, and there I am blest.

    Under His wings--oh, what precious enjoyment! There will I hide till life's trials are o'er;

Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me;  Resting in Jesus I'm safe evermore.

Music on this theme:   Thinking of and/or searching for songs withthis theme has been an adventure. Singing them brings comfort and joy to me!

ESPECIALLY WHEN WE ARE AT THE END OF ALL OUR OWN RESOURCES WE TURNTO HIM:

Ps 6:  2 Have mercy uponme, O Lord; for I am weak:O Lord, heal me; for my bones arevexed. 3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long? 4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me forthy mercies' sake. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee:in the grave who shall give thee thanks?6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I mybed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. 7 Mine eye isconsumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Byfaith he triumphs over his enemies. 8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.9 The Lordhath heard my supplication; the Lordwill receive my prayer. 10 Letall mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and beashamed suddenly.

IT ISWISE AND GOOD TO RUN TO THE LORD FOR HELP! We will be blessed!

Ps 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good;blessed is the man who takes refuge inhim.

Ps 36:7 How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men findrefuge in the shadow of your wings. 8 They feast on the abundance ofyour house;you give them drink from your river of delights. NIV

The more often we run to Him and find help in our times of need, the more the song “Hiding Place” will be meaningful to us.

    Selah -- Hidingplace

    You are my hiding place
You always fill myheart With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid I will trust in You I will trust in You
Let the weak say I am strong In the strength of the Lord
You are my hiding place You always fill my heart With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid I will trust in You

I will trust in You -- Let theweak say I am strong
In the strength of the Lord I will trust in You

Ps 18: 16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me;he drew me out of deep waters. 17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from myfoes, who were too strong for me. 18 They confronted me in the day of mydisaster, but the LORD was my support.19 He brought me out into a spacious place;he rescued me because he delightedin me.

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender
They're leading me in the paths that I must trod
I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God

So let the storm clouds rage high
The dark clouds rise they don't bother me
For I'm sheltered safe in the arms of God
    He walks with me
And naught of earth shall harm me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God

Soon I shall hear the call from heaven's portals
Come home my child it's the last mile you must trod
I'll fall asleep and wake in God's sweet heaven
For I'm sheltered safe in the arms of God
